Healing Heartbreak: An EMDR Journey to Emotional Recovery
Overview:
This 2-day immersive workshop is designed to help you process and heal from the deep emotional wounds associated with heartbreak, using the transformative power of EMDR therapy. Whether you’ve recently gone through a breakup, divorce, or separation, or if you’ve been carrying emotional pain for years after infidelity or betrayal and are still struggling to move on, this workshop offers a structured, evidence-based approach to guide you toward recovery and resilience.
About the EMDR-IGTP Coloring Protocol/Workshop:
We’re excited to incorporate the EMDR Integrative Group Treatment Protocol (EMDR-IGTP)—a gentle, guided process developed by Dr. Ignacio Jarero. This protocol uses coloring and bilateral stimulation as key components, allowing you to silently process difficult feelings or memories without having to talk about them aloud.
How It Works:
- Private Experience: You’ll follow the facilitator’s step-by-step instructions as you draw, color, or engage in other focusing activities.
- No Requirement to Share: You’re not required to verbalize or disclose personal details of your heartbreak; the healing happens within you as you follow the guided steps.
- Comfort & Support: Much like a retreat, the setting is designed to help you feel safe, relaxed, and supported. Counselors will be on hand if you need one-on-one support at any time.
- By engaging in this protocol in a calm, retreat-like environment, you can process and release lingering pain from a breakup, divorce, or separation at your own pace—without feeling pressured to share your story.
- Our hope is that you leave feeling renewed, empowered, and ready to embrace a brighter future.
Key Benefits:
- Process Traumatic Memories: Learn how to target and reprocess specific memories and emotions related to your heartbreak using EMDR.
- Reduce Emotional Distress: Experience the power of EMDR techniques to desensitize emotional triggers, helping you manage symptoms like anxiety, sadness, and anger.
- Empower Your Healing: Gain self-soothing techniques and tools to manage future emotional challenges.
- Build Resilience: Prepare yourself to handle future triggers and create lasting emotional change.
- Foster Community Support: Connect with others who understand your pain and share your journey towards healing in a safe, supportive environment.
