CO-OWNER, LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST, CLINICAL SUPERVISOR & EFT SUPERVISOR – Gilbert, AZ (In-person and telehealth)
I have always been really good at noticing the emotions and feelings of others. I thought of it as a superpower. My own therapist once said that it is probably why I became a therapist. I initially felt a sense of pride, but as we continued therapy, she informed me that this was also an adaptive strategy that protected me from feeling and facing my own emotions. This realization began an ongoing work of connecting more authentically with myself and others. It lead to growth in my confidence and freedom to be myself and improved the work I do with my clients. With the support of my therapist, I was able to uncover this old strategy that was causing issues in my adult relationships and marriage. This type of healing and change is why I love the work that I do.
As a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) I believe we are built for connection. Through a safe and caring therapeutic relationship, I guide my clients toward deeper healing and connection. I have over ten years of therapy experience and have extensive training and hold a certification in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). I am experienced at helping couples heal from the following:
- affairs, betrayals, and relationship injuries
- feeling stuck in repeating the same conflicts
- moving from disconnection and disengaged to connected and engaged
- rebuilding trust and intimacy
- maintenance and optimization of the relationship
- building stronger attachment and security
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which has proven effective at helping individuals heal from traumas both big and small. This therapy reduces both the physical and psychological distress that often comes with trauma. I also utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS), also known as parts work. I use IFS approaches to supplement and deepen my work with both couples and individuals. Apart from helping clients in therapy, I enjoy supervising and supporting therapists that are wanting to improve their EFT and couples therapy skills and approaches. I am an AZBBHE supervisor and EFT supervisor.
*Nick is licensed in Arizona and Minnesota. He is able to provide telehealth services to Minnesota residents.

Emily Burnham, LAMFT
LICENSED ASSOCIATE MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST – Gilbert, AZ (In-person and telehealth)
I’ve always been fascinated with how people feel, communicate, and connect. Throughout my teenage years, I witnessed conflict, abuse, and divorce in many of my family members’ marriages. I began wondering if good marriages really existed. With a burning desire to discover how to make relationships work, I pursued an education in marriage and family therapy.
I have a deep love for all people, and I continue to be amazed by how much my heart swells in compassion when others allow me to witness their most vulnerable and painful parts.
My advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) enables me to treat the heart of the matter in relational conflict. Whether you are “too emotional” or “not emotional enough,” we will work together to uncover the root of disconnection, remove barriers keeping you from feeling safe in relationships, and heal emotional wounds. Healing starts when we can communicate our deepest fears and vulnerabilities to someone who is responsive and engaged. I would love to extend this support to you and help you and your loved ones experience it from one another.
I enjoy helping couples and individuals in relationships from all types of backgrounds. I regularly work with:
- Affairs, Betrayals, and Relationship Injury Repair
- Communication Challenges
- Sex and Intimacy
- Premarital Couples/Early Marriage
- Infertility
- Neurodivergence/Neurodivergent couples
- Conscious uncoupling/Co-parenting
- Faith and Therapy Integration
- Family Conflict, Blended Families, & Intergenerational Therapy

LICENSED ASSOCIATE MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST – Gilbert, AZ (In-person and telehealth)
As a therapist, I am passionate about helping individuals heal and strengthen their most important relationships – with themselves, their partners, and their families. Loving and being loved in responsive relationships is at the heart of human happiness.
In my work with couples and families, I focus on building connection and emotional attunement. I use attachment-based and emotionally focused therapies in assessing the influence of attachment styles (developed in childhood and shaped throughout life) on adult relationships and parenting dynamics. We work to create secure and attuned attachments through the therapeutic process.
I believe that each person has more power and options available to them than they may realize. I support individuals in developing self-compassion, healthy personal boundaries, and a beneficial internal dialogue. My approach is one of empathy, as well as confidence in the
resilience of each person and in the potential for growth.
With my training in family systems, I view the dynamics within a couple, family, or parenting system as an interactive pattern. One person has the power to help shift a relationship, and with two or more people collaborating, the potential for change dramatically increases.
I find it deeply rewarding to work with individuals, couples, and families to help facilitate personal and relationship transformation. My own life experiences – including having raised four children here in Gilbert, AZ – have added to the insights that I bring to help others in their personal
and family journeys.
I work with many individual, couple and family concerns, and regularly work with the following:
- Affairs, Betrayals, and Relationship Injury Repair
- Premarital Couples/Early Marriage Counseling
- Couples Communication and Conflict
- Sex & Intimacy
- Online Sexual Content Impacting the Relationship
- Divorce, Separation, and Co-Parenting
- Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, and Low Self-Esteem
- Attuned Parenting/Secure Attachment Parenting
Whatever you’re going through, you shouldn’t have to face it on your own, and you won’t. I’m here to support you as you write the next chapter of your story.

LICENSED ASSOCIATE MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST – Gilbert, AZ (In-person and telehealth)
My therapy journey began as a client. Like many, I was initially looking for guidance on how to fix what I believed was broken within me. These concepts of “brokenness” and “fixing” deeply impacted my life and marriage. However, through my experiences with individual therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), I learned that being “sensitive” is my greatest strength. Embracing vulnerability, rather than suppressing it, allows me to show up more authentically for my spouse, friends, and clients. In doing so, I choose to be brave.
As Dr. Brené Brown says, “Vulnerability is not winning or losing; it’s having the courage to show up and be seen when we have no control over the outcome.”
As a Marriage & Family Therapist Intern, I am working under the supervision of Nick Puchalski, LMFT, to support individuals, couples, and families in repairing rifts, improving communication, and developing secure bonds. I approach each session by meeting you where you are at and valuing your expertise as the person living your life. We’ll work together in a safe, supportive space for vulnerability and emotional growth, building a roadmap toward stronger, more connected relationships.

CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING INTERN – Gilbert, AZ (In-person and telehealth)
I’ve always been someone who naturally cares about how others are feeling and what they’re going through. During my own high school years, I faced some personal challenges and experienced firsthand how meaningful therapy can be. That experience didn’t just help me heal—it inspired me to want to support others as they navigate their own changes, challenges, and growth.
I believe therapy can be a powerful space for anyone seeking clarity, healing, or simply a place to feel heard. Becoming aware of our mental health needs is often the first step toward meaningful change, and I’m passionate about helping people take those steps in a way that feels supportive and empowering.
My training in counseling spans over six years, beginning with my bachelor’s degree and continuing now through my master’s program. Along the way, I’ve been exposed to a wide range of therapeutic approaches and have developed a strong appreciation for the importance of the relationship between therapist and client. I approach each person with curiosity, openness, and the belief that therapy should be tailored to the unique needs of the individual sitting in front of me.
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, deeply seen & understood, and wildly supported as you move toward the life you want to build.
I work with teens and adults ages 15+ and really enjoy supporting clients with:
- Anxiety & Depression
- OCD
- Neurodivergence, ADHD & Autism
- Trauma & PTSD
- Medical/Health Challenges
- LGBTQIA+
Whatever you’re dealing with, there is hope, and you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m here to support you in writing your next chapter.

Keely Puchalski, ND
CO-OWNER, LICENSED NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR – Gilbert, AZ (In-Person and Telehealth) *NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS*
For as long as I can remember, my brain has been fast – sometimes too fast. I was naturally driven, passionate, and constantly pushing myself to succeed. But beneath the surface, I struggled with anxiety and focus issues that made life harder than it needed to be. I worked around my challenges instead of addressing them, convincing myself I was fine. Eventually, my body had other plans.
As the years went on, I developed chronic gut issues, hormone imbalances, and immune dysfunction, all of which made my mental health symptoms worse. Like so many people, I went through the frustrating cycle of seeking medical help, only to be dismissed or given quick fixes that didn’t actually fix anything. It wasn’t until I found naturopathic medicine and integrative psychiatry that things finally started to make sense.
I learned that mental health isn’t just about mindset or trauma. It’s deeply connected to biochemistry, nutrition, gut health, infections and inflammation, hormones, medications, and even past injuries like TBIs.
Now, as a licensed naturopathic doctor and integrative mental health provider, I help my patients find root causes and take a whole systems approach to their health care. My focus is on integrative psychiatry, blending the best of traditional and modern medicine to get people the best results as efficiently as possible.
I enjoy helping people with:
- Anxiety, ADHD, depression, OCD, insomnia, and fibromyalgia
- Chronic gut issues, hormone imbalances, and fertility concerns
- Metabolic health, post-viral illnesses, and mold exposure
I love learning and spend thousands of hours every year on continuing education, research, and clinical training to make sure my clients get the most effective, evidence-based treatments available. I’ve published dozens of scientific articles on natural medicine in reputable, peer-reviewed journals and other online publications, and have presented at local and national conferences on botanical medicine.
I believe healing comes when you finally deeply understand your body and brain, support them, and focus on creating a life where you feel your best, mentally and physically. I also believe in doing both the physical & mental work because I’ve gone through enough therapy to know that our subconscious responses coming from the past drive most of our present thoughts and behaviors. I’m a huge advocate for individual trauma & relationship therapy and subconscious reprogramming as foundations for building true health & wellness and creating a life you love.
If you’re ready to take control of your health and actually get to the bottom of what’s going on, I’d love to be part of your team. There’s hope, there are answers, and you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Alice Veirs, ND
LICENSED NATUROPATHIC DOCTOR – Gilbert, AZ (In-person and telehealth)
I grew up in the sunny state of New Mexico among the cottonwoods and cacti. I spent every chance I could outside and so grew my passion for the outdoors. My mother was a midwife, so I was exposed to various forms of natural medicine at an early age, as well as the idea that our bodies have an innate healing wisdom. When it was time for me to go to college, I chose Northern Arizona University because of its mountain top location that reminded me so much of home. Despite the climate being familiar I struggled with home sickness and depression my first year away. Then tragically I lost a friend to suicide. Using therapy, meditation, yoga, and time in nature with good friends, I was able to come back to myself and find passion for life again.
I worked hard the next three years and knew I wanted to go into the medical field. However, something about the allopathic (modern) medical system didn’t sit right with me. I always sensed that true healing went beyond pharmaceuticals and surgery. That belief, rooted in my childhood understanding of the body’s innate healing wisdom, kept resurfacing. When naturopathic medicine entered my life, I knew I had found the path that truly resonated with me – and one that I believed would also resonate with my future patients.
I attended Sonoran University of Health Sciences and graduated with honors in Nature Cure. I went on to complete a first-year general medicine residency with emphases on mental health, women’s health, digestive health, and acute conditions. I truly enjoy being a primary care doctor because it allows me to build lasting relationships with my patients, supporting them through all stages of life – from their teenage years to their senior years. In addition to mental health, women’s health is a passion of mine, and I have helped many women overcome and learn to thrive with conditions like PMS/PMDD, PCOS, infertility, endometriosis, perimenopause, BV, UTIs, cystitis, and more.
When you work with me, we’ll integrate traditional naturopathic modalities including botanical medicine, acupuncture, nutrition, homeopathy, and lifestyle modification with modern therapies including IV therapy, injection therapies, pharmaceuticals, and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy. I’m dedicated to guiding my patients toward optimal wellness with comprehensive, personalized care. By taking the time to understand your unique needs and concerns, I strive to offer more than just treatment – I help you on your journey to true healing.
