We spend our days holding stories, emotions, nervo We spend our days holding stories, emotions, nervous systems, relationships, trauma, hope, and healing.
Therapy, couples counseling, marriage counseling, and naturopathic medicine are meaningful—and sometimes heavy—work.

So when the door closes and the day is done…
sometimes the most regulated thing you can do is dance it out. 💃🕺

Movement reminds the body it’s safe, releases what words can’t, and brings us back to ourselves.

Yes, we’re professionals.
And yes… we’re still very human. ❤️

When Joe said he and Madison spent the season “jus When Joe said he and Madison spent the season “just fighting and f*ing,” he was describing a cycle so many couples know too well.
The conflict isn’t really about the surface issue.
The sex isn’t really about desire.
It’s about two people who feel distant, scared, or unseen, desperately trying to find their way back to each other.

From an EFT/attachment lens, this is what happens when partners don’t feel secure:
The fighting is the protest.
The sex is the relief.
But neither creates lasting safety.

In couples therapy and marriage counseling, we slow this cycle down and help partners name what they’re actually reaching for — reassurance, closeness, emotional safety — so connection doesn’t have to come through explosions or intensity, but through vulnerability and steady intimacy.

Attachment theory helps us understand the emotiona Attachment theory helps us understand the emotional patterns we bring into relationships - especially under stress. On @loveisblindnetflix’s Season 9, you can see some signs of these classic dynamics play out in each of the relationships throughout the season. This isn’t to say these are all 100% accurate in real life for the cast members, but to generate more awareness about attachment styles and how they might show up using the scenes from LIB S9:

• Anxious attachment: seeking reassurance, hyper focusing on the relationship or partner, moving quickly, constant worry, feeling the fear of losing connection
• Avoidant attachment: minimizing or avoiding concerns, pulling back, shutting down, protecting independence to avoid being hurt
• Disorganized attachment: a mix of both — wanting and seeking closeness but also feeling overwhelmed or unsafe in it

Attachment styles are patterns shaped by our past relationships and experiences. In couples therapy and EFT-based marriage counseling, we help partners see these cycles with less blame and more compassion for the pain and vulnerability beneath the actions so they can build secure, steady connection instead of getting stuck in reactivity.

Watching these couples gives us a real-time look at how these patterns show up - and how awareness can transform the way we love.

More therapist breakdowns of LIB S9 coming — follow so you don’t miss out.

Everyone’s talking about the “love bombing” moment Everyone’s talking about the “love bombing” moments on LIB Season 9 - but from a therapist’s lens, what we’re actually seeing are signs of an anxious attachment cycle. In EFT (emotionally focused therapy), we slow this cycle down and look at the fear and longing underneath the intensity and positivity.

Importantly, this isn’t about diagnosing cast members - attachment styles aren’t mental health diagnoses - it’s about recognizing relationship patterns that show up in most of our real relationships every day and learning from them. We often are quick to name these actions labels like “love bombing,” but these terms don’t fully describe or acknowledge what’s going on beneath the surface or the “why” behind them.

More therapist takes on LIB S9 coming up - follow so you don’t miss out!
